My first weekend at Caltech: The dorm, and a little of the Campus
My dorm room at Caltech. The desk is a little messy, and the loft a little sketchy, but other than that it's okay.
I do like having a sink in my dorm room.
This pond is overflowing with these turtles, who are not afraid of anything. If you wanted, you could reach out and touch them.

Officially, this is the Beckman Auditorium building on the Caltech campus, with the mountains in the background. I have given the building a much more fitting name: "The Cake Building".
I don't remember ever having been this close to a water lilly before. I was surprised to discover that this pond, instead of housing frogs (maybe I just didn't see them?), is home to at least one turtle.
